Alexander L Kalamkarov

Dalhousie University, Canada

Dr Alexander L Kalamkarov is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada since 1993, and Director of Smart Materials Centre since 1995. He was awarded PhD degree from the Moscow Lomonosov State University in 1979 and the Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1990. His academic career spans over 40 years in Research and University teaching. He has taught in the Universities in the USA, England, France, Australia, Japan, Brazil and visited numerous Universities and Research Institutes around the world. Prof. Kalamkarov is awarded the CANCAM Gold Medal for the “outstanding contribution in the area of Applied Mechanics” in 2011. He is awarded the Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 2002; the Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) in 2001; and the Fellow of the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2007. Prof. Kalamkarov is a Member of numerous prestigious International Editorial and Advisory boards and the International Conference Organizing Committees in the area of advanced composite materials and smart structures. Research performed by Prof. Kalamkarov in the areas of advanced composite materials and smart materials and structures is internationally recognized. He has authored more than 350 research publications, including over 150 refereed journal papers, 8 Research Monographs and 2 US patents. Prof. Kalamkarov has made major contribution to the fundamental analysis, design and optimization of composite materials and smart composite structures, composite reinforced shells and plates.

Kwang Hee Lim

Daegu University, South Korea

As professor in the department of chemical engineering at Daegu University, Dr Lim has impressed upon students the many intricacies of the field for more than 21 years. His expertise stems from his education, which includes both a BS from Seoul National University and a PhD from University Center City University of New York in the United States. Over the past seven years, his excellent technology was designated as Superior Technology by the Korea Research Foundation. He has also been cited with numerous awards for his achievements in the field, including receiving a Governor Citation Award from Gyeongbuk government governor, two-times Superior Academic-Industrial Cooperation Award and five-time Superior Research Award from Daegu University, and Biotechnology and Bioengineer Award from the Korea Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering. His journey during his tenure in higher education has also allowed him to contribute to numerous journals, both as a provider and as an editor. He has been serving as an editor for the Korean Chemical Engineering Research since 2011, as well as serving as associate-editor-in-chief for the Drug Design Development and Delivery Journal. In addition, he has been serving on editorial board for not only the Journal of Nanoscience and Nanomedicines but also Open Access Biostatistics & Bioinformatics. He formerly served as an editor for the Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering from 2012 to 2016 as well as an editor for the HWAHAK KONGHAK from 2007 to 2010. Furthermore, he has been serving on the mediation committee for the Daegu District Court since 1998, and was an examiner for the Environmental Information Institute from 2011 to 2015. He is a fellow, longtime board member of the Korean Society of Rheology, a former editor-in-chief of BT News for the Korean Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, fellow and vice president of the Korean Society of Odor Research and Engineering, and fellow and journal editor for the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers. He is holding numerous patents in his field.

Osman Adiguzel

Ankara University, Turkey

Dr Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has already been working as professor. He published over 60 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 100 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by South Asian Institute of Science and Engineering (SAISE), Science and Engineering Institute (SCIEI), International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology, Scientific Federation, IASED, The Academic World Education and Research Center (AWER-Center), and other institutes and companies. He served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M.Sc theses. He is also Technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.
