Based on few recent studies scientists have proven that extreme weather conditions like heat waves and large storms are likely to become more frequent or more intense with human-induced climate change.

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) climate change such as ice loss, sea level rise and extreme weather conditions have been increased from 2015 - 2019. In 2017 one case study from Global Climate Risk Index by the nongovernmental organisation Germanwatch, looked at Bangkok, assuming a future temperature increase by 4°C.
The present-day impact of climate change has become steadily more obvious over recent years in Countries like USA, UK, Japan and Europe. In 2015-2019 report on Global climate has been given by World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to inform that United Nations Secretary-General’s Climate summit says that the average temperature on global increased by 1.1°C since the pre-industrial period and by 0.2°C compared to 2011-2015.
Globally the temperature of ocean and land surfaces was 1.71°F (0.95°C) in the year 2019 above the twentieth-century average of 57.0°F (13.9°C), making it the second-warmest year on record.
The five warmest years in the 1880–2019 record have all occurred since 2015, while nine of the 10 warmest years have occurred since 2005.
Importance and scope
A research institute (Rhodium Group) in 2019 has analyzed that economic and environmental tends announced a report finding that in 2018 emission CO2 at U S increased by 3.4 percent that 2019. Earlier in 1990’s, our climate began changing because of a persistent increase in the measure of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This change has been especially quick over the most recent couple of decades. For example, the measure of carbon dioxide in the climate has increased by about 35% in the modern period, and this expansion is known to be because of human activities, essentially the combustion of non-renewable energy sources and changes in land use by evacuation of forests and agriculture.
The University of Chicago’s “Energy Policy Institute and the research organization” conducted a new survey in November, 2018 resulted that half of the Americans told that present climate science is more convincing than 5 years ago, with extreme weather driving their views.
In temperature and changes in rainfall patterns over the 30 years Thailand has seen a marked increase. These changes have very big effect on food production more over on rice production- the yields of which are essential to national food security (MSTE, 2000).Thailand’s long coastlines, fragile agriculture system and susceptibility to extreme weather events make it susceptible to the consequences of global climate change. Annual mean temperature of Thailand is between 22-32°C.
Climate Change Impacts: Risks, vulnerability and benefits of limiting mean temperature rise to 1.5°C
Thailand is vulnerable to global climate change and has witnessed variety of climate disasters within the last thirty years. Flooding events top the ranking with 67 occurrences within the last 30 years leading to the highest number of deaths (approx. 3000) and huge losses to the economy (45.753 billion USD), followed by storm events, which have also resulted in many deaths. Droughts have also resulted in heavy economic damages. Thailand holds 13th position within the Germanwatch long-term climate risk index.

In reference to the report published by Global Carbon Project the emission of CO2 has reached high record in the year 2019. At the same time the rate of emission growth is slowing down among few of the world’s largest emitters according to the study of this report. From 1750-2019 countries with the largest cumulative CO2 are ranked as United states – 397 GtCO2, China – 214Gt, Russia – 180, Germany – 90, United Kingdom – 77, Japan – 58, India – 51, France – 37, Canada – 32, Poland – 27 (Figure 2).

The different amounts of heat trapping gases into the atmosphere are emitted vastly in countries globally. Figure 3 shows country wise share of CO2 emission in percentage China- 29%, Rest of the world 19%, United States 16%, India 7%, Russian Federation 5%, Japan 4%, Germany 2%, Korea 2%, Iran 2%, Canada 2%, Saudi Arabia 2%, Indonesia 1%, Mexico 1%, Brazil 1%, South Africa 1%, Australia 1%, United Kingdom 1%, Turkey 1%, Italy 1%, Poland 1%, France 1%. The climate crises are at the core of the challenges the world community faces in finding effective and equitable solutions to global warming.
